This workshop will take place at University College Dublin, Ireland, from 
July 5 to 8, 2004. (The week following ECM 2004 in Stockholm.)

The morning sessions will consist of three short courses as
follows:

"Algebras with Involution" by J.-P. Tignol (Université catholique de 
Louvain, Belgium)
"K-Theory and Arithmetic" by M. Kolster (McMaster University, Canada)
"Linear Algebraic Groups" by U. Rehmann (Universität Bielefeld, Germany)

Invited and contributed talks will take place in the afternoon sessions.

We hope that the workshop will be of particular interest to young 
researchers in areas related to those mentioned above.
