General Theory of Information Theory and Combinatorics

Final Conference

April 26 - 29, 2004

This conference will be the final conference of the ZiF:Research Group General Theory of Information Transfer and Combinatorics. The main topics of the conference will be:

	Animal Communication
	Cryptography and Number Theory
	Data Structures, Data Compression and Statistics
	Identification, Common Randomness and General Theory of Information Transfer
	Pattern Discovery
	Quantum Information Theory
	Search and Combinatorics

This time the format of the meeting will be a new one: Each day the morning sessions will focus on a certain topic with eight 30 minutes lectures starting at 8.30h and ending at 13.00h. Then the meeting continues in the late afternoon with several problem and discussion sessions, which will be held in parallel in smaller groups. Each of these sessions will focus on one of the topics mentioned above.
