The Department of Mathematics and
the Collaborative Research Center SFB 701 will host the
Summer School 2012 on Nonlocal Operators
July 4th - 6th, 2012
Bielefeld University
(Univ. of Washington)
on
Potential theory for jump processes
(Univ. of Chicago)
on
Regularity theory for nonlocal operators
The purpose of this intense 3-day school on nonlocal operators is to teach recent results and techniques in the area of jump processes and integro-differential operators of fractional order.
Six lectures given by Prof. Z.-Q. Chen will address methods from probability and stochastic analysis in the study of nonlocal operators. The focus is on the potential theory of Lévy-type processes and more general jump processes generated by nonlocal Dirichlet forms, including fine estimates on heat kernels.
Six lectures given by Prof. L. Silvestre will concentrate on methods from analysis and partial differential operators. Here the focus is on regularity estimates for solutions to fully nonlinear equations driven by nonlocal operators.
The 3-day school is followed by a 6-day international conference on nonlocal operators: LINK
The lectures will take place in room V2-210/216.
The application process has been closed.
