Summer school on formulas of Siegel and Weil

The summer school is about formulas of Siegel and Weil and its impact in the theory of sphere packings, number theory, and geometry. The summer school takes place at Bielefeld University.

Jan Bruinier (TU Darmstadt): The Siegel-Weil formula in geometry and arithmetic
Damian Rössler (University of Oxford): Arithmetic intersection numbers and logarithmic derivatives of L-functions
Maryna Viazovska (EPF Lausanne): Siegel-Weil formula: Mean Value Theorem in examples

Precourse

During the week preceding the summer school (September 24-26), there will be a three day long series of prepatory talks on Zoom. Topics will include adeles, algebraic groups, Arakelov theory, arithmetic characteristic classes, (orthogonal) modular forms, theta functions, theta liftings, orthogonal Shimura varieties, ... Courses will be held by Nihar Prakash Gargava, Paul Kiefer, Riccardo Zuffetti, Siddarth Sankaran.
