Upon arrival at the station in Bielefeld, exit towards "Bahnhofsplatz" and cross the square. Pass the white Mövenpick-Hotel. A few steps down the street you'll find an entrance to the "Stadtbahn" (on the left-hand side). |

At your hotel, ask for directions to the nearest stop of the "Stadtbahn". |

Take Line 4 in the direction "Universität/Lohmannshof". Trains run every ten minutes during the day, and the ride from the main station (or any of the stops in the centre of the city) takes about ten minutes. Exit at the station "Universität". |
| Tickets are available from the machines located at the stops. Please note that tickets are not sold on the train. At the station "Hauptbahnhof" (main station) these machines are located at the intermediate level. |

To go to the university, the correct fare is called "BI 1". Currently (October 2008), a single ride is 2,10 Euro (or 6,80 Euro for four rides). |

Please note that the ticket has to be validated at one of the little boxes near the escalators. Should you start a ride at a different stop, you might need to validate your ticket on the train. |

Walk towards the university building and climb the stairs leading into the main hall. Signs will be posted to guide you to the lecture hall H10, which is located next to the automatic teller machines of the "Sparkasse" (see below). |
