The conference at Ioannina (Metsovo) will inform and educate graduate students, postdoctoral fellows and interested researchers on these homological methods. The main body of the participating scientists will be from the ten groups collaborating in the network "Invariants and Representations of Algebras". The aim of the conference at Ioannina (Metsovo) is the presentation and evaluation of the latest developments in Representation Theory of Finite Dimensional Algebras with special emphasis to the homological invariants of the theory.
The conference will have a duration of five days. It is planned that there are five 2 hours introductory lectures and four 1 hour lectures which will be held by established scientists in Representation Theory of Finite Dimensional Algebras. In addition, there will be fifteen to twenty 30 minutes lectures, which will present the most recent applications of the methods of homological algebra to the Representation Theory of Finite Dimensional Algebras.
The aim of the conference in Ioannina (Metsovo) is to serve as a platform for communicating the latest ideas, developments and results in Representation Theory of Finite Dimensional Algebras in relation to homological algebra. Especially younger EU-scientists residing in the outskirts of EU should benefit very much from this meeting. In addition, it is worth-while to note that the event will take place in one of the less favored regions of Greece, which entirely belongs to the less favored regions of EU.
