Cluster Algebras and Cluster Tilted AlgebrasMay 24-28, 2006, in Bielefeld(Lectures: May 25-27) |
Since the field is rapidly developing, the workshop will focuse not only on the latest technical results, but also aims to give people an understanding of the general structure of the field, the main results obtained so far, the major unsolved problems, and the most promising directions of future research. At the beginning of the workshop, some time will be devoted to explaining the necessary background starting from basics, this also should help to fix the terminology and notation.
Andrei Zelevinsky and Idun Reiten will be in Bielefeld in May 2006, in conjunction with their respective Humboldt Research Awards. Thus we suppose that during that period, there will be a lot of activities dealing with "Cluster Algebras and Cluster Tilted Algebras" - you may check at the Bielefeld seminar website. Of course, anyone interested in the topic is welcome to stay here during that period and to participate in the seminar. As a climax there will be the workshop mentioned above. Here is a first list of mathematicians who will come to the Bielefeld workshop and will give a lecture or contribute otherwise to the discussions.
Participants are asked to contribute 40 Euros to cover our expenses (such as beverages and the conference dinner). Except for the invited speakers, all participants are asked to make their own arrangements for accommodation.
