Sophiane Yahiatene: Tubular elliptic Weyl groups and the Hurwitz action
In 1985 Kyoji Saito published a paper introducing extended affine root systems and also providing a 'weak' classification of them. These root systems appear in several different areas of mathematics, in particular in algebraic geometry, representation theory and theory of infinite Lie algebras. In the present talk we will regard a special case of these root systems, the so-called tubular elliptic root system and its corresponding elliptic Weyl group. In particular, we are going to sketch a proof of the transitivity of the Hurwitz action on the set of reduced expressions of a selected Coxeter transformation and mention several other important properties.
