Aims and Scope

This workshop is a continuation of a series of conferences on theory and numerical analysis of bifurcation problems. Previous meetings were held at Sevilla and Gent.

Central topics of the workshop are the analysis of local and global bifurcations as well as the development of numerical tools for continuous and discrete time dynamical systems. In recent years there have been several promising developments in the area, including bifurcations in non-autonomous and random dynamical systems.

The aim of the workshop is to review these recent trends focusing on constructive and computational aspects. Topics include specific applications to biological or chemical systems that provide guiding principles for the development of theory or challenges to numerical methods. The invited main speakers are leading experts in their fields and will present an overview of their current research, directed also towards non-specialists.

The workshop is part of the conference program of the DFG-sponsored CRC 701 "Spectral Structures and Topological Methods in Mathematics" at Bielefeld University.
