Andrei Suslin: Detection Theorem for Finite Group Schemes

In this paper we prove a general detection theorem for cohomology of finite group schemes, which says that a cohomology class which restricts trivially to all elementary abelian subgroup schemes is nilpotent. This is a generalization of a classical detection theorem proved by Quillen and Venkov for finite groups as well as the detection theorem for infinitesimal group schemes proved previously by the author, E. Friedlander and Ch. Bendel.
