Conference in memoriam of Dieter Happel

There was a conference in memoriam of Dieter Happel, organized by the TU Chemnitz in cooperation with BIREP:

Programme: There were five talks on each day, with survey type lectures on Friday and more specialised talks on Saturday. Talks began on Friday morning and continue through Saturday afternoon, the detailed conference programme (including abstracts) is available as a pdf file. There was be a conference dinner at the Hotel "Chemnitzer Hof" on Friday at 19:00.

Accommodation: A block of rooms has been reserved at the Hotel "Chemnitzer Hof" (single room 66 EUR per night including breakfast and internet access). Please make your own reservation (execept invited speakers) and mention "Algebra" to get the reduced rate. Deadline for this option is February 28, 2013. Early reservation is recommended, since only a limited number of rooms is available. Another accomodation option is the "Hotel an der Oper"; there are no special rates for conference participants at this hotel, though.

Financial support: The DFG Schwerpunktprogramm "Darstellungstheorie" offers support for german participants. Deadline for an application is February 28, 2013 (funding for later applications is not guaranteed).

The meeting received generous support from the German Research Foundation (DFG) through the following grants: Collaborative Research Centre "Spectral Structures and Topological Methods in Mathematics" (SFB 701) and Priority Programme "Representation Theory" (SPP 1388).
