Overleaf in Sciebo
Overleaf in Sciebo
Sciebo contains an Overleaf instance. To start it, click the three horizontals bar on the upper left and pick the leaflike Overleaf symbol.
Guest accounts in Sciebo
To be able to add a guest to your Sciebe/Overleaf project, the guest must have a Sciebo account. This is automatically the case for everyone employed at a university in North-Rhine Westphalia; other guests can be added to Sciebo like this:
- At https://www.hochschulcloud.nrw click on "my.sciebo" at the top.
- Log in using SSO and choose "invite guest".
- Your guest will receive an email and can set up a Sciebo account.
Adding guest to an Overleaf project:
- The guest first has to login into the Overleaf instance of Sciebo, as explained above. Then the guest has to create the example project. These steps ensure that the corresping Overleaf account is created properly.
- In the project that is to be shared, pick share on the upper right and enter the email address of the guest that is linked to Sciebo.
- Inform the guest about the invitiation by email (this is not happening automatically).
In case step 2 was performed before step 1, one has to revoke the invitation and then resend it.
