Commission for Tutorials

The Tutor Selection Committee, TuKo for short, is a special feature of our faculty. Professors, research assistants and students sit on this commission. The composition is unusual: the professors do not have the absolute majority, as in most other commissions. The members of the commission are two professors, two research assistants, two students and the current tutor representative.

As the name suggests, the commission is about choosing the tutors for the next semester. This usually requires a whole day or sometimes two, during which tutors are selected and assigned to the different courses. It is not uncommon for no one to be found for a course, so it is important that as many female students as possible apply for a tutor position each semester. This also prevents the tutorials that are created from being overcrowded and the tutors not having the opportunity to ask their question.
